The Jass Vocal Jazz Group

After nearly five years, the Jass Festival Vocal Jazz Group returns to the show. The ensemble is the most unique of groups performing and provides a chance for festival listeners to hear what musicians can do with their voices as opposed to performing music on a brass, woodwind, or rhythm instrument. Utilizing techniques that have evolved through the past fifty years, the vocalists will showcase how they as an ensemble can cover just about any style of jazz that instrumentalists can showing their stong versatility and incredible creativity for all in attendance at the performance.

The Jass Vocal Jazz Group is being directed by Mike Fairbairn, a Vocal Music Education major at North Dakota State University.
