The Jass Combo

The Jass Combo has been a part of the Jass Festival for the past ten years giving the concert listeners a chance to hear a variety of classic jazz the way it was performed in the jazz clubs of New York City and Kansas City throughout the middle of the 20th century. The Jass Combo strives to provide listeners with a wide spectrum of styles ranging from the classic sounds of Miles Davis and John Coltrane up through the current progressive days of jazz with samplings similar to those of John Scofield and Michael Brecker.
Lance Tessemann will serve as the leader of the Jass Combo in 2011. A student studying Music Education at North Dakota State University, Lance performs with various jazz combos and bands around the Fargo-Moorhead area, most frequently with the Jordan Christianson Trio.
